Brainstormer / Cause and Effect Diagrammer
The new Q-Skills brainstormer and cause and effect diagrammer are creativity and innovation tools which greatly simplify the traditional brainstorming process. They:
- Avoid the need for whiteboards
- Allow easy grouping of similar brainstorm items, without needing messy "post-it" notes or whatever..
- Allow easy changes and re-arranging to find patterns of ideas
- Creates a cause and effect diagram, instantly, on the spot, without having to re-convene meetings when diagrams are drawn manually.
- Allows easy changes to the cause and effect diagram
- Can easily be used for planning or analysing opportunities.
The brainstormer provides:

A windowing interface
- Brainstormed items are entered into a brainstorm window
- Similar items may be grouped into "affinity" windows
- Windows may be reduced to icons and dragged to other windows
- A cause and effect diagram may be generated automatically from the windowed data
The cause and effect diagrammer provides:

Either automatic generation from the brainstormer (above) or building from scratch
- Multiple legs may be added
- Long field lengths for text permitted
- Automatic text box sizing
- Colors may be changed
- Causes (with attached sub causes) may be dragged between legs or to different locations.
- Print out on multiple pages or reduced to single page
